My client is currently looking for an Azure Operations Lead Engineer
This role is responsible for leading the Azure Operations Team and assisting with the ongoing management and enhancement of the Azure Cloud Platform that is being deployed.
Skills and Experience:
Experience of managing a DevOps Team in a Cloud Managed Service Environment - Must be Azure.
Ability to make decisions and provide direction to the DevOps team.
Strong experience of using Azure DevOps and CI/CD
Ability to independently troubleshoot and problem solve issues with Windows servers.
Proven background in System Administration fundamentals including networking.
Experience in supporting Azure IaaS and PaaS.
Experience with IT service management software preferably ServiceNow
Solid understanding of security principles with experience with integrating Azure systems into third party SIEM tooling
Working knowledge of Logic Monitor
Experience of managing NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work effectively under deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to details.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with clients, vendors, engineers, and managers at various levels. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical employees.
Ability to organise and manage multiple requests with frequently conflicting priorities.
Strong team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources; has experience working with others on a global basis; applies knowledge to coach and mentor others.
Thorough understanding of multi-tiered SLA management, Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management.
Experience in defining and creating process documentation.
Ability to act a mentor and train 1st and 2nd level associates
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to converse directly with our business.

Lead the operational team ensuring team follow best practices and driving continuous improvements.
Automation and deploying Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
Writing and reviewing PowerShell
Support IaaS and PaaS services in Azure
Regular testing of Azure Site Recovery between Azure Regions
Managing and monitoring NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP and Azure Backups
Provide technical support to application support teams.
Produce root cause analysis of incidents and provide recommendations for prevention.
Monitor and fine tune alerts
Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements
Working with Head of Infrastructure Services to identify areas of consolidation and optimisation
Management of Incidents and Work Requests in Service-Now, ensuring SLA's and KPI's are achieved
