Job description

A large Government client are seeking a contract Business Analyst on an initial 6 month contract, inside IR35 regulations.
Person Specification:
A Business Analyst leads small-to-medium-sized projects and supports larger and more complex projects. At this level, you will be expected to:

  • Be a naturally inquisitive person, keen to really understand the problem
  • Happy to challenge in a positive way enabling change
  • manage stakeholder relationships
  • work independently
  • have a good understanding of your own work area
  • advance the BA community through the sharing of best practice and coaching others
  • have experience of the work specified in the Work required section

We also expect the business analyst to be able to undertake user research as required.
Skills needed for this role
The business analysis and user research skills required are those of the Digital, Data and Technology Profession in the civil service.

Work required
Work closely with the Delivery Managers and other project team members;

  • Supporting the business in preparing pitch decks for new initiatives
  • Developing the pitch decks for the portfolio board to progressive to the next phase
  • Undertake business analysis and user research to support the project
  • Complete business process / business change analysis working closely with stakeholders
  • Continuously document findings and
  • Support procurement projects
  • Work closely with all members of the team
  • Work closely with third party suppliers as required
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the GDS service standard
  • Contribute to the BA community of practice internally
