Job description

  • 5 -7 years' business analysis experience gained working on compliance and regulatory change projects and programmes, with a financial services organisation, with experience of implementing regulatory response in at least one regime i.e. REMIT, EMIR, MAR, MIFID, etc.
  • Ideally having worked in a power/ energy trading firm or commodity trading business.
  • Ability to work across a broad range of projects, varying in size & complexity and in delivery approaches (waterfall, agile, etc)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: excellent verbal, presentation and reasoning skills adaptable to the audience, ability to build constructive relationships at all levels and excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • 'hands-on', adaptable and flexible, with experience of working in small change teams.
  • An understanding of financial services, market abuse in wholesale energy markets, balancing markets, trading, regulatory reporting, origination and the policy framework.
  • Establishing a traceability matrix from deliverables to regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting the compliance team with the documentation of regulatory requirements and working with the business to document subsequent impact assessments and gap analysis.
  • The Business Analyst must be comfortable with supporting multiple inflight projects, prior experience of delivery in a similar environment is highly desired.
