Business Analyst - Power BI
Central Government - Investment Services
£575 p/d - Inside IR35
Hybrid Working
The post will sit within the Investment Services Team working closely with the wider team on activities relating to investment operations and performance management. The role will focus on a range of factors contributing to positive programme delivery including: Driving data integrity, developing processes and managing governance, analysing fund pipelines, performance reporting and becoming a competent source of guidance and advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake quantitative to assess and develop the effectiveness and efficiency of Operational Management services to improve overall programme management and delivery.
- Utilise third party data to support analytical work, including data validation and integrity checks.
- Provide project validation support for key Operational Management activity in management and monitoring systems, including updating projects to reflect decision outcomes and ensuring the integrity of data to allow payment processing.
- Support the improvement in data quality by utilising data visualisation and reporting tools in the analysis and preparation of performance reporting/ presentational material.
- To undertake day-to-day administrative activities for the team that support effective and efficient fund delivery and management and to provide support in handling any enquiries relating to relevant fund or processes managed by Operational Management.
- Provide effective analytical support across the Operational Management function.
Essential
- Experience of the performance reporting to different audiences using tools such as Business intelligence or Power BI
- Strong MS Works skills including Excel and Power Point.
- Strong numerical skills and knowledge of budget management
- Experience in maintaining up to date information on all systems
- Data analysis and visualisation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Capable of interpreting information in a clear and reasoned way. Used to working at pace and a demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Flexible - ability to adapt to a different environment and adjust outputs according to emerging asks
- General administration skills such as setting up meetings and taking minutes
