Client-side - UK Head of Real Estate, London

The Business
Our client is a diverse market-leading communications business with a mixed portfolio of leasehold sites across the UK & Ireland. They are presently going through a business transformation with a change programme shifting the organisation to a new target operating model to which Property is expected to hypothesise and deliver a realignment strategy to support.

The company is a globally recognised business listed, as part of its overarching Group, on most stock exchanges across the globe. They are looking to make substantial investment into changing how their property operates & performs with the way people work and the organisation flows being at the core of these changes.

Measurables

Strategy & Process Improvement

* Take internal ownership of current real estate processes to create and continually develop, with vendors, appropriate playbooks to cover all areas of real estate activity.

* Oversee delivery of integrated services across all real estate functions.

* Provide functional expertise and leadership within the real estate arena, the wider Estates team and with stakeholders, including working with local CRES teams to define scope, requirement and managing suppliers on implementation.

External & Internal Stakeholder Engagement

* Management of the monthly supplier management operational review meetings, ensuring issues are escalated where necessary.

* Act as secondary point of contact and deputise for Head of Real Estate with stakeholders, suppliers, workstream leads, CRES, Regional Leadership Team and C-level team.

Leadership & Management

* Excellent facilitation skills; works well with all levels of personnel and knows how to motivate to meet common goals and objectives
* Demonstrable ability to co-ordinate across multiple stakeholders to identify scope, engage relevant teams and maintain open and transparent dialogue
* Ability to understand and value different customer needs and provide tailored services using a flexible approach where necessary

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

* Chartered Surveyor or other UK-recognised real estate qualification with commendable practical experience in a leadership role
* Track record of supplier side delivery of real estate transactional and management services to major corporate occupiers, together with client-side experience in a CRES service delivery environment
* Experience of managing delivery teams both in a project and BAU environment, with multiple stakeholders
