Commercial Finance Analyst

FP&A Team

Global Restaurant Brand
up to £65,000 + great benefits
Hybrid Working (1/2 days pw office)
Central London

Role Purpose:

  • Support the exploitation of the UK business opportunity by providing pro-active, insightful analysis and reporting that enables the business to make informed decisions around the delivery of the overall business strategy and capital investment
  • Support the focus on performance management by providing on-going monitoring/tracking of performance and explanations for variances

Sitting in the FP&A Team, your responsibilities will be:

  • Support the development of submissions for the Long-Range Plan, Budget and Forecast - specifically in relation to central costs and marketing spend

  • Analyse variance to forecast for central costs and department spend in the period end close process and provide updated projections for spend balance of year

  • Ensure accurate and timely production and delivery of weekly trading packs, month end packs and all other reports that are required to be produced

  • Support the continual improvement of existing reporting standards to reduce production and delivery time of all reports

  • Assist in the development of standard reports for the business
  • Periodic actualisation of the operating model and assistance in scenario planning using the model

  • Provide support in evaluating and modelling business expansion opportunities

  • Provide pro-active, insightful, high quality decision-making support, ensuring business wide implications are considered, that enables the business to make the best decisions with regards to investment decisions

  • Evaluate actual vs planned outcomes of key strategic and tactical decisions to support the delivery of the required ROI

  • Provide ad-hoc analytical support as required

About You:

  • Newly qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) / Soon to be Qualified / QBE
  • Strong commercial acumen & financial modelling skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience of delivering positive outcomes in a fast-paced environment
  • Hospitality sector experience - Desired but not essential
