As part of a leading brand, you will play a crucial role in managing and analysing financial data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Hybrid working - 37.5 hours a week - Monday-Friday - Car Park On Site!

Location: Outskirts of Crawley

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Finance Business Partner in managing the Management Accounts model, including monthly rollover and integrity checks.
  • Update the forecast model for new routes and forecast changes.
  • Produce monthly route contribution analysis from management accounts data.
  • Generate charter contribution reports.
  • Assist in producing monthly management accounts and updated full-year forecasts according to the defined timetable.
  • Support the production of meaningful monthly results commentary, including variances to the last forecast and detailed causal analysis.
  • Prepare and post journals for management accounting, including calculating accruals and prepayments.
  • Analyse spend against budget and forecast, including overhead analysis and scheduling meetings with Budget holders.
  • Complete analysis of accrual workings and reconciliations.
  • Assist in producing timely financial analysis, monthly internal management information, and KPI dashboards.
  • Assist the commercial team in producing the capacity outlook and generating commercial revenue forecasts.
  • Assist with annual financial plan preparation and business plan modeling.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure accurate and complete end-to-end financial operations and processes.
  • Assist in annual audit preparation.
  • Manage the approval of recharges, building relationships with colleagues to understand these charges.
  • Assist in reviewing Quarterly Standard Costing reconciliations.
  • Create reports to satisfy stakeholder requests, highlighting any risks or opportunities.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by the Finance Business Partners, Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant, and Procurement Manager.
  • Maintain process maps and notes on duties undertaken.
  • Support the wider team in delivering tasks and reviewing output.


Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

  • CIMA/ACCA studier (attained operational level or equivalent)
  • Computer literate with advanced MS Excel skills (managing file links, lookups, pivots, formulas, etc.)
  • Previous experience in an accounting role
  • Sound knowledge of accounting concepts
  • Previous experience of performing reconciliations
  • Financial modelling experience
