Commercial Finance Analyst
up to £45k

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Finance Analyst to join a multinational Advertising company in London. This is an incredible opportunity for a Finance Analyst to springboard their career in commercial finance, you will be a part of an employee centric organisation where their people and growth is at the heart of what they do. The main purpose of this role will be to provide commercial, financial and operational support to the agency, Senior Finance Manager and Senior Commercial Controller. You will be responsible for financial and client reporting and maintaining a strong commercial focus across financial operations.

Commercial Finance Expertise:

  • Supports the commercial team in selectively gathering relevant financial information to analyse financial results
  • Reviewing billability with relevant department heads
  • Translates financial information and analysis on revenue and profitability into actionable steps for client teams to drive better results
  • Emerging ability to identify potential problems in existing environment and provide solutions before they manifest themselves in material financial results

  • Supports the Account Handling team in selectively gathering relevant financial information to analyse financial results, including the Burn report and ad hoc analysis as required
  • Works closely with Account Handlers in reviewing and forecasting revenue
  • Assists with training the Account Handling team in financial and revenue recognition processes
  • Reviews and assists Account Handlers as required with SOWs and Excel spreadsheets
  • New client contract internal implementation
  • Supports the month-end process and reporting cycles, producing relevant budgetary information
  • Draft agency monthly management packs and be able to respond to any queries linked to the management packs
  • Take responsibility for the forecasting and budgeting process for revenue for 2 agencies and provide variance analysis where required
  • Prepares and manage rate cards as appropriate
  • Monitor WIP posting and invoicing
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and industry to develop and evaluate agency financial processes and controls
  • Works with internal and external auditors - gathering and providing necessary information

Reporting Expertise:

  • Assists with consolidated month end reporting for the business
  • Prepares relevant elements of the businesses Executive monthly management packs
  • Assists with consolidated Groupe submissions including forecasts and budgets and liaising with the key finance stakeholders on submissions
  • Communicating and guiding the wider team on corporate deadlines and ensuring the deadlines are being adhered to
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects to improve overall processes and efficiencies within the business
  • Ensuring that all financial reporting is performed in according with Publicis Groupe Corporate Policies and Procedures
