Job description

Investigo Private Equity are currently working exclusively with a Private Equity backed online marketplace, who are looking to appoint a commercial finance director. This business has recently been acquired and is now looking to embark on its next phase of growth. The role will require someone to help guide the business through a period of international expansion, whilst also looking to develop the businesses commercial finance function and how it utilises the data that passes through it.

The Role

  • Treasury and cash management
  • Preparing and presenting investor updates and board reports
  • Working with the leadership team to set and monitor KPIs
  • Ongoing seller profitability analysis and reviewing commission structures
  • Organising and managing the annual budgeting process, including taking responsibility for implementing planning systems and tools
  • Building and implementing robust financial governance frameworks
  • Managing the annual audit process
  • Quarterly VAT and annual income tax compliance
  • Maintaining the financial and cashflow forecasts
  • Preparing financial models and scenario analyses
  • Managing and growing the finance team (currently consisting of a finance manager and junior accountant)
  • Leading on all M&A and fund-raising activity
  • Supporting the internationalisation project team and owning the financial aspects

Your Profile

  • At least 5 years' experience in a finance leadership role, ideally in a high-growth international business
  • A successful track record operating, partnering with and influencing stakeholders including at the executive level
  • Entrepreneurial, commercial, and highly analytical
  • An effective communicator with the ability to distil complex financial analysis into actionable insights
  • A proven ability to work under pressure and effectively manage conflicting priorities to meet deadlines
  • Experience in working with external advisors to understand and manage international taxation and reporting obligations

Salary

£120k + bonus
