Contract Front-end Web Developer

Location & Duration: Remote, 3 months initially

Rate & Engagement: Inside IR35 - to £400 per day

An Investigo partner are looking to engage a consultant Front-end Developer with experience developing against accessibility requirements. This role will be key to ensuring everything from websites to apps are accessible by all and in line with latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

This consultant will ensure the approach to access needs and digital inclusion is coherent, professionally managed and of the highest quality; we're looking for someone who is passionate about meeting the needs of all users. You will help ensure accessibility of technology for those with access needs, from disabilities to older users, with an emphasis on accessibility of web technologies and guidelines. Technology is all by HTML, CSS and JavaScript focused on front-end.

Skills

• Strong web development skills using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Expert knowledge of new and existing accessibility regulation and guidelines and standards, including in-depth knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG version 2.1)
• Knowledge and experience with accessibility evaluation and verification tools, assistive technologies, and accessibility standards across multiple platforms, including screen readers, magnification, and read-aloud tools, etc
• Any experience creating, planning, executing, and reporting plans for auditing and testing against accessibility standards would be hugely beneficial in this role.

This is an inside IR35 engagement with a day rate on offer of up to £400 per day. Initial contract duration will be 3 months with high probability to extend.
