Data Scientist - Central Government - will provide SC clearance

A major central government department are seeking a Data Scientist to join them on an initial 3-month contract (12-month workstream). Presence once a week/every 2 weeks is required in Newcastle.

Develop a Data Map and quantitative research. Lead the investigation into the lack of MI in the Disputes Service.
This role is key in helping us to understand workflow, performance, and workforce planning.

They will:

• Turn complex data into compelling, clear and actionable stories. Shares data communication skills with the team.
• Presents analysis and visualisations in clear ways to communicate complex messages. Able to give tactical and strategic recommendations.
• Lead on the development of performance measurement frameworks including key performance indicators (KPIs). Has a deep understanding of business goals and is able to turn these into tangible performance measures.
• Make changes which add value and clearly articulate how changes will benefit the business. Understand and identify the role of technology in public service delivery and policy implementation.
• Consider the full impact of implementing changes on culture, structure, morale and the impacts on the diverse range of end users, including accessibility needs.
• Identify early signs that things are going wrong and respond promptly. Provide constructive challenge to senior management on change proposals.
