Job description

My client is an established operational real estate investment manager and developer located in the heart of London.
Due to continued success in their living sector they are looking to bring on a Delivery Manager to spearhead their single family housing team.

ROLE PROFILE

The Single Family Housing team are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Delivery Manager to
join their growing team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the delivery of all the Single Family
Housing schemes meet the required specifications set out in contracts and the prevailing building
regulations. This will involve setting up and leading a team to manage and deliver multiple housing
schemes across the UK, ensuring projects are delivered to a consistent quality and adhering to their
respective deadlines and budgets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

- Oversee housebuilders during the entire delivery process of our Single Family Housing
schemes, from pre-construction to completion and handover, over multiple sites and locations
- Ensure all projects meet required specifications as outlined in contracts, planning regulations, and building standards.
- Conduct thorough snagging lists, identify and document defects, and manage their timely resolution with contractors.
- Over time build, lead, and motivate a high-performing team of delivery professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Manage project budgets and timelines effectively, anticipating and mitigating potential risks.
- Liaise with architects, contractors, surveyors, and other stakeholders, clearly communicating project objectives and requirements.
- Develop and implement quality management systems and processes to ensure consistency and compliance across a number of projects.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant building regulations and industry best practices, proactively seeking ways to improve efficiency and quality.
- Contribute to the company's growth strategy by identifying opportunities for expanding
project scope and geographic reach.


EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:
- Highly experienced in managing residential housing development projects, on suburban housing schemes, preferably within a housebuilder firm.
- Expert in conducting thorough snagging lists and ensuring timely rectification of defects in housing schemes
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality
standards.
- In-depth understanding of relevant building regulations, planning laws, and health & safety
standards.
- Strong contract management skills, including interpreting technical specifications, identifying deviations, and managing contract variations.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to proactively identify and address challenges.
- Basic understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and quality control procedures
- with a strong preference for suburban housing experience.

Desirable:
- Experience in managing nationwide housing projects.
- Knowledge of digital tools for project management and data analysis.
- Strong financial acumen and cost control ability.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
