Job description

An exciting role has become available as a Planning Manager reporting to the Head of Supply Chain for an expanding company in the retail industry

Supervising a team of 3

  • Prepare and deliver optimized production plans to balance stocks, demand and optimize materials flows.
  • Provide daily communication with commercial and production teams - to be the key point of contact for stock availability and plan changes.
  • Attend production SIC briefings.
  • Chair weekly planning and handover meetings with all key stakeholders.
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure NPI and delists are managed on time and on budget.
  • Manage the ERP system to ensure data integrity of all parts and inventory information.
  • Provide annual stock and materials usage projections for budgets and stakeholders as required.
  • Supply daily information to Shift Managers/Team Leaders regarding material supply issues.
  • Liaise with Engineering to plan and agree downtime for planned maintenance.
  • Oversee the creation of 4 Weekly MPS plans, and daily shop floor schedules.
  • Oversee the purchasing plan for raw materials in the short and medium term in line with stock and cashflow targets.
  • Work within the supply chain team to optimize stock on site.
  • Key Member of Focus groups, including Raw Materials optimization, NPI and ERP implementation.
  • Work with the Head of Supply Chain to produce monthly capacity plans.
  • Attend Supply Chain Management meetings, including deputizing for HoSC in Senior Management team meetings when required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum 3 years planning experience in FMCG retail supply or relevant industry.
  • Experience using ERP / MRP systems, including MPS creation, shop floor scheduling.
  • Well versed in MS Office particularly Excel.
