Development Manager

Location: Barnsley (2 days a week)

Salary & Benefits: Up to £80,000 + Benefits

An industry-leading customer of Investigo is currently looking for Development Manager, to join a newly formed and fast growing development team. You'll lead and build out the development teams to carry out transformation project and implement best-in-practice software applications.

This is one of those opportunities where you won't just have an impact on the organisation you work for but also an industry as a whole. This is a new division of their technology transformation. The opportunity is similar to a start-up with huge backing and support so being comfortable with ambiguity and being able to work with autonomy will be crucial.

Whilst this role will involve little hands-on, you'll work closely with teams across applications, Web and ERP systems, working closely with a variety of other stakeholders, developing technical road mapping and ensuring the team are all working in unity to get the best outcomes.

You will be working across multiple transitions from carrying out technical migrations and enhancements all the way to Greenfield development taking it from inception all the way through to delivery. Your role will also include the chance to influence the longer-term technical strategy and build out new technical capabilities for the organisations. Some of the technologies they use are c#, .Net, D365, JavaScript, and Micro-services

Skills

  • Developing Technical Roads Maps as they transition applications
  • Have built out and lead development teams
  • Strong understanding one of .Net, C# and D365 ERP systems
  • Having experience managing Software Development teams
  • Experienced working in Agile methodologies
  • Experience reporting to Senior Stakeholders
