TITLE:

Director/Head of Chemistry - permanent, full-time

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director/Head of Chemistry will lead the development, evaluation and characterization of novel Lipids and oversee a team of scientists to evaluate novel lipids and nucleic acid chemistry. This individual will provide technical guidance for Lipid-based delivery systems and lead process development and scale-up of nucleic acids, oligos and lipids.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• PhD in relevant scientific field plus 8+ years of experience or MS degree with 12+ years of experience in a biotech/pharma environment, ideally in a Chemistry function
• Expertise in oligo synthesis, nucleic acid and lipid chemistry
• Understanding of testing, scale-up and cGMP manufacturing guidelines
• Prior experience with gene editing systems including CRSPR-cas9
