ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director/Sr. Director of Data Science will continue to build out the organization's bioinformatics pipeline. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy , hiring the teams, and meeting critical timelines.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• PhD with 0-6 years of postdoctoral and/or industry experience or MS with 3-8 years in bioinformatics, biostats, or computational biology.
• Strong background in computational biology, genetics, and bioinformatics is essential.
• Experience building and leading a team.
• Excellent programming skills in at least one of the following: python, R, C#
• Basic Git source code management experience
• Expert understanding of DNA and RNA sequencing.
• Proficiency in data processing, bioinformatics tools, statistics, and programming.
• Understanding of chemistry, biology, and genetics.
