A long standing Investigo client is looking for an Engineering Manager to join their tech innovation hub - in the heart of London this business are 3 years in to digitising a historically 'old school' market, this is a growth role and will technically lead a group of senior engineers and their teams. The next 3 years is packed full of new products, features, etc - all greenfield and utilising the latest Java and cloud technology.

Leading a group of Senior/Lead Engineers, your team will be the heart of innovation and power both the ideas and the build for a market leading group of applications. This role will even offer those who still roll up their sleeves the chance to do so from time to time. The focus now is all around R&D so if you're someone who likes to lead innovation, then this will be the right role for you.

Their technology stack is a modern mix of Java, Angular, NoSQL and Azure, alongside a number of additional tools and the chance to bring new tech ideas to the table.

This role will work directly with senior technical stakeholders and with genuine personal development on offer, this will work towards a head of role in the short-midterm.

So, what are we looking for? There's a number of desirables but the key components to being successful are:

  • A background in hands-on Java engineering and leading Java skilled teams (ideally multi location);
  • Technical know-how and a thorough understanding of software, applications and cloud at a high/solution level;
  • Previous experience with modern cloud technology; AWS, Azure, SaaS PaaS.
  • Strong communication skills, you'll often take a non-technical idea into tech and back again;
  • Experience of contributing to longer term projects and the future product roadmap.

This role would best suit someone who enjoys the blend of remote and in office working, ideally you will be within an easily commutable distance of London.

In return you will receive a salary up to £100,000 p/a plus a range of benefits inc. car allowance (circa £5k), holidays, great pension, real training and development, along with a variety of benefits add-ons.
