Company Overview

You will be joining a very well-established and highly regarded Consultancy firm as their Finance Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. Part of a sizeable finance team of 22, there will be plenty of future progression opportunities here and you will be surrounded by high-performing, collaborative and motivated colleagues. Based in their modern City of London office 4 days a week, you will have the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.

Role Responsibilities

You will be responsible for preparing the monthly management accounts (with support), assisting in the preparation of VAT returns, recording bank transactions, processing sales/purchase invoices, statutory reporting under IFRS, handling payroll filing and contributing to a wide range of company-wide projects.

Role Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to be a graduate with a minimum 2:1 and possess at least 12 months of relevant experience, ideally in a Practice or Professional Services environment. If you have not been to university, you will need to have studied towards the AAT Level 3 qualification and possess 12 months of relevant experience. You will need to be a confident and mature individual with excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. You will have an outstanding work ethic and have the ability to work well as part of a team and also individually with limited supervision. You will be competent with the use of Accountancy software such as Xero and Sage. You will be an enthusiastic individual with a clear passion for your chosen career path.

In Return

You will receive an annual salary of up to £30,000 (depending on experience) + Study Support (ACA) + Benefits (including pension provision, gym pass, social events, 25 days annual leave) and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate. You will have the option to work from home 1 day a week and once you start progressing internally, you will have more flexibility (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).
