Finance Analyst

Finance Analyst | Financial Services | London | £150-200 p/d inside IR35 | Hybrid

I'm currently partnered with a leading financial services business, looking for a Finance Analyst to join the team on 12 month contract backfilling for existing team members moving onto a Finance Transformation.

Background

The Finance division are commencing a Transformation program to upgrade and replace existing systems including the Procure to Pay (P2P) tool which is used by the Accounts Payable team. During this period the workload on the team is expected to grow as we look to design and implement new processes and cleanse and update data prior to any type of migration.

The continued efficient running of the Accounts Payable function during this period, ensuring that the payment of all company invoices are made in a timely and accurate manner, is of paramount importance. To support this, the job holder will assist with ensuring that all accounts payable controls and reconciliations are robust and completed in a timely manner, as well as assisting with ad hoc tasks and roles in advance of the transformation program go-live.

Skills and requirements

The following skills, experience and requirements are preferred for this role:

• Ideally worked in an Accounts Payable team previously with a minimum of 2 years experience
• Entering invoices into the accounts payable system
• Processing payments
• Filing and maintaining supplier records
• Checking and verifying invoices
• Preparing cheques for payment
• Performing other ad hoc tasks as required by their manager
• Cleansing and reconciling existing data in current P2P tool
• Understanding existing and new process flows to deliver optimal outcomes
