Investigo Finance are currently assisting one of the largest British software and services company in the UK (PE Backed) with their search for a Finance Analyst - FP&A based in Birmingham - (Hybrid working)

The Finance Analyst will be part of a group finance team reporting into the FP&A Manager. This role contributes towards partnering with the business whilst delivering the Group story. Supporting the timely & accurate month end reporting, business intelligence and insightful actionable analytics across the business and investors. Ensure that the information provided helps to shape the future of the business, driving commercial performance & delivery of the financial plan.

The role will focus on the following areas:

  • Supporting the delivery and development of monthly consolidated reporting covering investor packs, management packs, Ops dashboards and cost dashboards
  • Provide support ensuring the reporting tool and numbers are correctly recorded across the business, checking for accuracy, and working alongside the data team
  • Ensure all models consolidated and are kept current reflecting the business structures
  • Support on forecasting and planning cycles assisting with developing the necessary templates, developing control checks for the consolidation model
  • To assist with template development for the detailed 3-year Business Plan
  • Provide support acting as a business partner understanding group requirements and communicating with stakeholders
  • Ad Hoc reporting and projects as required

Candidate requirements:

  • Part Qualified (ACA/ACMA) - Full study support provided
  • Bachelor's degree in Business / Economics / Marketing / Finance or other relevant subject preferred
  • Good analytical skills; an understanding of quantitative/financial techniques and problem-solving mindset
  • Some experience in financial planning, budgeting and financial modelling would be advantageous
  • Solid Excel expertise an advantage is key
  • Good communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Working within Finance or alongside functional operations an advantage
  • Consistent attention to detail and accuracy, delivering outputs of the highest standards
  • Proactive, insightful and commercially astute
