Finance Assistant - 12 month FTC

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a growing SME in London on a 12 month FTC. The role is varied so offers great exposure and the chance for you to be involved in the migration of their data to a new finance system and fundraising CRM.I would like to speak to part qualified candidates with at least 18 months experience. The Core focus of this role will be to support the Finance manager in providing finance and governance services for the organisation. You will work with the finance manager to develop adequate controls and processes so that the finance function works efficiently and securely.
Main responsibilities will include:
Maintenance of purchase ledger including control of orders, coding and input of invoices and recording of their payment.
Supplier statement reconciliations.
Processing of expense claims and recording them on the system.
Maintenance of sales ledger including control accounts.
Preparation of sales invoices and dealing with any relevant queries.
Maintenance of customer and supplier accounts on the accounting system.
Preparing invoices for despatch to customers.
Receiving and verifying donations and other receipts and recording them on the ledger.
Preparing for banking and banking of monies & preparation of bank reconciliations.
Processing and reconciling card and charity voucher receipts.
Administration of income for standing order receipts.
Dealing with petty cash requests and recording them accordingly on to the ledger system.
Assisting with the preparation of payroll including operation of the payroll system in liaison with the Finance Manager ensuring correct payments of wages and salaries.
Maintaining and updating fixed asset register.
Assisting with any other aspects of the finance department queries, accounting system and with preparation of other financial reports.
Undertaking other duties as required by the Finance Manager
