Finance Assistant
up to £30k depending on experience
South West London


I am currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant position for a Leading Retail brand based in South West London. In state of the art offices, you will be working within the wider Finance Team and responsible for the ownership of the transactional processes for the business.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance this role requires the individual to have excellent time management skills and an outstanding level of accuracy whilst processing a high volume of purchase invoices. As a solid and reliable member of the Team you must be able to conform to company policy, as well as take initiative when necessary. Working in a small Finance Team brings the benefit of being able to explore other avenues in the department, it is a great opportunity for you to learn a variety of skills.

Responsibilities will include:

* Processing vendor invoices against purchase orders for both stock and non-stock, along with checking coding is accurate and taking the appropriate action to resolve internal and external queries
* Processing payments and expenses
* Processing all petty cash and credit card transactions
* Monthly vendor statement reconciliations
* Maintaining current vendor accounts and setting up new accounts
* Completion of bank reconciliations
* Working closely with the rest of the AP Team to maintain the aged payables
* Has the desire to improve processes and is willing to make suggestions, carry them forward and assist with implementing them confidently
* Assisting with the annual statutory audit preparation
* Maintaining the accounts@ inbox, responding promptly and professionally to internal and external emails
* Ad-hoc projects to assist with the Finance Team

Candidate Specifcation

* A good level of MS Excel and Outlook skills
* Microsoft Navision (desired but not essential)
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in AP
* Good time management skills and experience of working to meet strict deadlines
* Works with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* A team player and good communicator having the ability to also work unsupervised
