Investigo are working with a well known brand based in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has worked as a Purchase Ledger and is looking to progress their career onto the next stage. Our client also offers study support so if you are looking to do your CIMA/ACCA this could be the role for you.

In your new role you will be supporting the Accounts Payable Manager with the following.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare weekly payment runs including BACS and SEPA payments.
  • Reconcile all monthly creditor reconciliations and investigate any aged items.
  • Investigate debit balances and chase suppliers for refunds where required.
  • Processing and posting of all payment journals.
  • Posting of cash including refunds and Direct Debit payments
  • Ensure all New Suppliers are set up correctly and have the appropriate authorisations.
  • Liaise with suppliers where required for change of bank details/missing invoices or statements.
  • Responsibility of the Transport Direct Debit accounts ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all invoices and reconciliation against the Direct Debit payments taken from the bank accounts.
  • Ensure the accurate preparation of Supplier Statement reconciliations and resolving supplier queries.
  • To help prepare monthly KPI's and reporting for senior management.
  • Demonstrate an ongoing and active commitment to review all tasks and procedures, to enable them to be undertaken more efficiently.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Strong IT skills including highly competent in the use of Excel
  • Part qualified or looking to start their accountancy exams (ACCA/CIMA) or proven experience within a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a larger finance team
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
