Job description

I am partnering with an expanding property company to bring on board a driven finance assistant, responsible for the transactional day to day duties and also assisting with the preparation of the management accounts.

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
  • Salary: Up to £37,000, depending on experience
  • Location: City of London

What can you expect?

  • Reviewing and processing purchase invoices, ensuring proper allocation in Xero.
  • Setting up payments for purchase invoices.
  • Managing Aged Payables and ensuring timely supplier payments.
  • Raising fee and recharge invoices in consultation with the team.
  • Overseeing Aged Receivables and managing overdue debts.
  • Correcting mis-postings and identifying prepayments/accruals in Xero.
  • Preparing journals for review.
  • Reviewing VAT and CIS returns.
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations and related reviews.
  • Preparing other bank payments.
  • Reviewing rent and service charge reports from managing agents.
  • Assisting with audit requests and queries.
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with monthly management accounts.
  • Preparing monthly variance analysis against budget.

What skills/attributes can you bring?

  • 1/2 years experience, with strong knowledge AP & AR.
  • Working towards ACCA/CIMA qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Proficient in Excel (essential) and knowledge of Xero (desired).
