Job description
I am partnering with an expanding property company to bring on board a driven finance assistant, responsible for the transactional day to day duties and also assisting with the preparation of the management accounts.
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
- Salary: Up to £37,000, depending on experience
- Location: City of London
What can you expect?
- Reviewing and processing purchase invoices, ensuring proper allocation in Xero.
- Setting up payments for purchase invoices.
- Managing Aged Payables and ensuring timely supplier payments.
- Raising fee and recharge invoices in consultation with the team.
- Overseeing Aged Receivables and managing overdue debts.
- Correcting mis-postings and identifying prepayments/accruals in Xero.
- Preparing journals for review.
- Reviewing VAT and CIS returns.
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and related reviews.
- Preparing other bank payments.
- Reviewing rent and service charge reports from managing agents.
- Assisting with audit requests and queries.
- Supporting the Finance Manager with monthly management accounts.
- Preparing monthly variance analysis against budget.
What skills/attributes can you bring?
- 1/2 years experience, with strong knowledge AP & AR.
- Working towards ACCA/CIMA qualification.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
- Good time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Proficient in Excel (essential) and knowledge of Xero (desired).
