Job description
My client, an outstanding business in the surrounding area of Weybridge are looking for an Finance Assistant on a permanent basis.
Hybrid Working - Hours - Monday-Friday - 37.5 hours a week - 2 days in the office!
Key Duties:
- Calculating purchasing income invoice and accrual values using distributor statistics and supplier trackers.
- Collaborating with manufacturers and suppliers to confirm purchasing income invoice values.
- Generating invoices using bespoke software.
- Precisely recording invoice values on the Super Category invoice trackers.
- Performing reconciliations between accrued and invoiced purchasing income values, investigating discrepancies, and resolving queries with internal stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate invoicing of purchasing income.
- Coordinating with Credit Control to address debt issues.
- Approaching tasks with professional scepticism and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Continuously reviewing processes to identify and implement changes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures at all times.
What they're looking for:
- Previous experience in analytical or financial roles.
- Working towards or aspiring to achieve AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications.
- Exceptional numeric and analytical skills, particularly in Excel.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly commercial environment.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to manage multiple work streams within tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of communicating with stakeholders at various levels.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate large volumes of information and data from multiple sources.
- Consistent attention to detail and accuracy, delivering high-quality outputs.
- Ability to work with professional skepticism.
