Job description
My client, a Financial Services Tech firm is looking for a Finance Business Analyst to support in the delivery of a Finance Optimisation road map. The role will require you to work on multiple initiatives concurrently. As such, this role would suit someone with a background of delivering Finance Change projects within Financial Services.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering people, process and system change activities across the Finance & Treasury function, to resolve key business issues and problems based on high quality analysis.
- Supporting the selection, evaluation, and implementation of new Finance system capabilities
- Working on operational readiness activities including change management, communications, training, testing and business support.
- Documenting current and future state process maps in Visio/Drawio and workshops outputs, with the aim that the materials can be shared, presented, and used by various stakeholders (internal and external to the bank).
- Documentation of Finance procedures, processes and policies as required.Creating epics and features for products. Ensuring problem statements, goals and acceptance criteria / metrics are defined, documented and understood by all members of the team.
- Leading the review (grooming) of backlogs with product owners and scrum teams, ensuring backlogs reflect the product owner's order of priorities.
- Working with scrum masters, architects and developers to create and refine stories, allowing them to be able to plan and start work.
- Leading knowledge share and presenting your business analysis outputs with other teams across the bank.
Requirements What we are looking for
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Extensive work experience in financial/business analysis or related discipline
- Experience working with MS Dynamics 365 and Azure Development, will be advantageous
- Previous experience working in Finance and most recent experience as a Business Analyst supporting Finance with the implementation of Finance Transformation and operational readiness activities in Financial Control, FP&A, Prudential Reporting, Tax and Treasury sub functions
- Experience and familiarity with financial software and ERP systems
- Experience in the review and analysis of financial data from a range of source information to identify the root cause of incidents/problems, trends or themes to suggest solutions/recommendations.
- Proficient in Excel, with the ability to create and maintain project plans, operational readiness plans, control and progress tracking templates, and meaningful MI
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Proven experience in working on multiple product deliveries at the same time, being structured in approach of achieving objectives and goals
- Experience of working in the financial (and preferably the payments) industry
- Excellent numerical and analytical analysis, problem-solving, and idea creation skills - contributing to the design and solution process
- Experience of working in agile product delivery
- Ability to convert analysis in to clear and concise documentation - visual representation is important
- Adaptable, embraces change, and enjoys multiple challenges
- High level of attention to detail, and drive to understand underlying business processes in great depth
