Finance Change Manager
£70,000 + Package


JOB DESCRIPTION:


Overall Purpose of Role:
This role is principally responsible for supporting the Finance department in implementing system improvements and process enhancements.

The Finance Change Manager will support the Finance leadership as a trusted advisor on finance system matters and will act in a project management role to implement the 2022-2023 change programme. This role will ensure that requirements are well-defined and changes are fully tested and implemented in a controlled fashion. This role will interact with stakeholders and service providers internally and externally.


Responsibilities:

Change programme:
  • Assist Finance leadership in defining scope of required system and process improvements
  • Act as a project manager for the finance system/process change programme for 2022-2023, planning, tracking and reporting progress and issues
  • Develop a clear understanding of the Finance department's systems and associated challenges, and provide insight and recommendations on areas of potential improvement
  • Work closely with other members of the Finance team to define and develop clear requirements documentation to support system changes
  • Develop a strong relationship with key external stakeholders and service providers (UK IT, parent company IT and Finance, finance system suppliers and others)
  • Coordinate the implementation of new/upgraded finance-related systems (AP system, task management system)


BAU activities
  • Support the day to day running of the finance systems, including tasks such as:
    • Undertaking periodic re-certifications
    • Troubleshooting issues when they arise, coordinating input of IT and service providers
    • Review and update of manuals
  • Support general finance process improvements outside of the change programme.
  • Coordination and liaison with Finance / IT functions of parent company, sharing and assessment of proposed improvements, organising resources for system testing and improvement / upgrade roll outs
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required




PERSON SPECIFICATION:


Required Knowledge and Level of Experience:
  • Required: Process re-engineering expertise
  • Required: Finance system maintenance and change expertise
  • Required: Advanced MS Excel, Powerpoint, competent using MS Word.
  • Required: Oracle Financials (or similar complex ERP) experience
  • Qualified Accountant (2-5 years PQE) with a recognised accounting body (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Preferred: PowerBI and/or Python experience
  • Preferred: Project management expertise

  • Excellent time management, ability to prioritise to ensure all deadlines are met and deliverables are completed on time to a high quality
  • Ability to communicate financial and technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing
