We are looking for someone who has a passion for data and process improvement. You will be joining a newly established Data Governance and Data Management team based in the UK working within Group Finance. The team is responsible for establishing and implementing Data Governance principles and tools as well as proactively improving data quality for the benefit of the core processes and systems. Out main ERP system is SAP ECC with a planned future upgrade to S/4HANA and SAP MDG.

This role is critical in liaising with the Finance GPO's and IT functional consultants to ensure the relevant process area is fit for purpose from a data and process perspective. You will be working across the business and taking the lead on analysing data quality, supporting the cleansing of data and reducing the risks associated with incomplete, inaccurate and inconsistent data. Where same data is shared across other core systems (Ariba, Workday, Concur, Salesforce) you will ensure the right governance process and tooling are in place to deliver aligned data to a high quality. What you'll be doing
* Supporting the definition and implementation of Data Governance Operating Models and Data Quality frameworks
* Design, implement and manage Data quality standards to support standardised meanings, correct use and understanding of data
* Provide the link between SAP IT Functional Consultant and Finance GPO to ensure the SAP system and processes have accurate and relevant data
* Demonstrate a detailed understanding of at least one or more of the following process areas (P2P, O2C, R2R) and have a detailed knowledge of the relevant data needed to run them
* Use tools such as SAP Information Steward and SAP Data Services to extract and profile data. For the purpose of building data quality scorecards to proactively manage and report the company's data health against agreed business rules
* Work with the business stakeholders and designated Data Owners and Data Stewards to deliver data quality improvement plans, setting out clear expectations and roles and responsibilities
* Support the business as usual Data Centre of Excellence in Mumbai in the delivery of right first-time data maintenance activities, ensuring processes documentation is relevant and accurate and resources are trained correctly in data best practices
* Validate and extract data in SAP using the relevant tables, queries and program
* Assess and define business requirements and support business process developments through project delivery
* Capable of training end users in the correct use of data for a given process using your SAP experiences to date
* Able to accommodate and work with project methodology approaches to develop and deliver plans, RACI's, written documentation, training material and stakeholder reporting

Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years working in SAP ECC or S/4HANA in a data related field with knowledge of SAP tables and data structures
* Experience of analysing, cleansing, improving, transforming master and transactional data
* Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
* Detailed knowledge of at least one the following processes in SAP - P2P/O2C/R2R from both an end to end user perspective and SAP data and process perspective
* Previous experience of working in major projects in the delivery of new or changes to process including changing or adding new data requirements
* Experience of developing and delivering own project plans in relation to data initiatives.
* Previous experience of building business validation rules
* Certified consultant in the following SAP modules (FI, CO, SD, MM)
* Experience of working with SAP Information Steward and Data Services
* Previous expertise in working in a services-based industry
* Experience of working in large SAP implementation programme such as SAP ECC upgrade or SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration
* Experience in setting up or developing a Master Data Management tool such as SAP MDG, IBM InfoSphere, Informatica
* Experience in MDM, MDG, Data Migration and good knowledge around SAP Data products and toolsets
* Previous experience of building templates or forms for the capture of data
* Experience of building reports using Power BI
