Finance Manager

What will you be doing?

• Managing a team of 2
• Leading Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting requirements for each area under your remit
• Maintain and progress inventory and related balance sheet accounts for Supply Chain; including the financial management of inventory holdings/acquisitions/disposals
• Lead supplier cost reduction programme across all external supplier spend
• Monitoring and management of spend (capital expenditure projects)
• Engagement with the auditors at year end as well as maintenance and responsibility of Internal Control work for Inventory
• Develop plans and actions with the business to achieve strategy through negotiation, knowledge sharing and offering challenging advice
• Use insights to advise on decisions to reduce cost, and increase profit and revenue, balancing financial performance with the customer value proposition
• Encourage rigour and a financial mind-set for business decision making
• Provide a single point of contact for Finance to Line Management Team, report, understand, challenge and track spend
• Ensure all major business decisions are taken with sufficient understanding of their financial consequences

What experience do you need to have?

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• Ability to develop business strategies
• Devise and follow through on profit improvement programmes
• Provision of leadership with regard to achievement of financial targets and internal control
