Job description
Finance Manager
Leading Hospitality / Tourism Brand
£65,000 - £70,000 + 10% bonus and great benefits
London city offices - Hybrid 2 days pw office
Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly financial close, including preparation of management accounts and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting in line with relevant accounting standards.
- Business Partner with various stakeholders across the business, driving key business decisions.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across all revenue and cost areas.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Lead credit control efforts to optimise cash flow and minimise risk.
- Partner with external auditors to support audit processes and deliverables.
- Deliver clear, insightful financial reporting to inform strategic decisions.
- Drive cost efficiency through analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support system and process improvements to enhance reporting and control.
- Lead a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide training and guidance to non-finance stakeholders to strengthen financial understanding.
- Support wider business goals through ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical expertise.
- Solid experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
- Proven ability to develop, manage, and analyse budgets, forecasts, and operational costs.
- Skilled in financial control, compliance, and audit preparation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial systems and data tools, with advanced spreadsheet and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing finance teams and supporting professional growth.
- Effective communicator, able to build relationships across all levels of the business.
- Confident working cross-functionally to align financial practices with broader business goals.
- Able to identify improvements in processes and drive financial performance.
- Ideally experience with SAGE or a comparable system.
- Background in hospitality / consumer - beneficial
