Job description

Our client is a business that understands what exceptional looks like. A fast track, high growth, entrepreneurial multi-site company with an ever-expanding portfolio, the business pride themselves on exceptional delivery to their customers through core values which include innovation and integrity.

The business has experienced positive organic growth throughout the last 5 years and are set to kick start the next phase of their development in 2020 and beyond.

The Board has identified the need to create a new position for a Finance Manager to work closely with the Financial Controller and Senior Leadership team across all areas of finance.

You will take ownership and responsibility of the company's finance function, and will play a vital role in driving the things forward. You will work closely with the team to ensure the accurate and efficient running of the department, meeting deadlines, providing relevant information, and delivering innovative solutions.

This is a superb opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to understand all areas of the business and contribute towards maximising business revenue and profitability. The candidate will be responsible for the delivery of management reporting, financial / management accounting, delivering key strategic management information to various stakeholders across the business. Additionally, the role will support the CFO in various duties.

The role requires a forward thinking, proactive individual excited by the prospect of the journey ahead. This is a pivotal, and challenging, role within a forward-thinking business with a high level of autonomy and an unrivalled opportunity to influence future business decisions. This role will best suit those individuals who are looking for a role with a high level of diversity and the opportunity to challenge the status quo.

The ideal candidate would be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with a strong technical grounding and a sound commercial mind-set, able to contribute to the development of the wider business strategy. The business may also consider those making a first move out of practice. You will have a focus on accuracy, attention to detail and a hands-on approach to problem solving. You MUST have previous experience of managing a team. Those who have worked within a fast track SME business would hold a distinct advantage.
