Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • ownership of Workday Financials' daily operations
  • directing specific projects and continuing efforts to advance the Workday Adaptive Planning system and Workday Financials, including adding information to business cases that committees must approve.
  • registering L3 development or problem tickets directly with Workday and our AMS provider, managing them through completion, and making sure that the right testing and change management procedures are followed
  • encouraging Workday's ongoing development and serving as a champion for system governance
  • conducting routine system inspections, including studies of system utilisation and recommendations for any problems or enhancements

  • resolving, ranking, and using ServiceNow to monitor systemic issues brought up by our business users

  • Working with IT Operations, conducting integration and upgrade testing as needed, assisting the internal data warehouse team in resolving integration problems, and overseeing the proper correspondence on such upgrades

  • Whenever necessary, and in collaboration with the Finance Systems Lead and Business Process Owners, altering business procedures and providing the necessary paperwork and communications

  • When necessary, developing and troubleshooting new or customised EIBs to give users instructions to aid in their comprehension and fix data load faults

Essential:

  • current and pertinent expertise in the administration of Workday Finance systems
  • Show initiative, positivity, and the capacity to operate independently. When needed, fill in for the Finance Systems Lead.
  • Have a strong customer focus, a curious nature, and an instinctive ability to collaborate.
  • able to cultivate a professional rapport with clients and coworkers
  • Able to explain abstract topics to "non-technical" colleagues and break down intricate system ideas
  • Possess a thorough understanding of Workday security domain governance and practices.
  • willing to participate in, and even lead, small projects in a group setting as needed
  • Capable of creating reports with calculated fields at both the Basic and Advanced levels (Matrix and Composite reports are also needed)

  • Have confidence in your ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical system problems utilising an organised process.

  • Sincere desire to advance beyond the role of Workday specialist and increase value through collaboration and influence at all level.
