Investigo are delighted to be exclusively supporting a Milton Keynes based organisation who are experiencing a period of high growth with their recruitment of a Financial Analyst on a permanent basis.


This newly created position will require a confident financial analyst, whose role will provide analytical support to the Finance Planning & Performance team, and wider finance team, providing regular data updates and financial report outputs, as well as having the ability to research through data to understand trends and insights that sit behind the financial results.


The overall purpose of this role is to:

  • Improve and provide financial dashboards for weekly and monthly financial results
  • Carry out data analytics and drive insights as required (Ad Hoc)
  • Become a super user in the company's Financial Reporting systems (no prior experience required)
  • Carry out financial results reconciliations between systems and understand where differences have occurred so that they can be corrected.

As the Finance Analyst, you will be the go-to person for mining the detail of company financial performance through data analytics. You will connect with the Data team to ensure alignment of reporting and enabling the Finance team to self-help on report requests and data analysis.

The successful Candidate is likely to be a Part Qualified individual who has a strong analytical background.
You will be:

  • A commercially minded financial analyst with experience of creating insights through data analysis. You will need:
    • Good attention to detail
    • Organised and methodical approach to work
    • Strong excel skills
    • Ability to analyse complex data and surface underlying trends to allow actionable insight by financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • You should have good communication and stakeholder management skills, both spoken and written word, who is comfortable challenging the status quo
  • No previous Power BI skills are required but are preferable, there will be a need to learn and develop skills in this space to facilitate management reporting and training will be provided
  • Ability to roll sleeves up and get into the detail when required with a sense of one-team
