Financial Controller

Investigo have partnered with a growing Energy company headquartered in London who are currently looking to expand their finance function with a new Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team and support the businesses with embedding accounting best practice and partnering with senior management. The role would suit an individual who is looking to join a busy and dynamic work environment and enjoys Financial Analysis and Business Partnering.

Location: Hammersmith, London

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + bonus

Hybrid working: 3 days office based

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversight of all financial control activities, including monthly and quarterly disclosures
• Provide financial information to senior management team aiding in sound financial decision making
• Work closely with auditors and act as first point of contact
• Budgeting & forecasting
• Improve finance operations and systems
• Maintain and implement technical accounting standards
• Timely preparation of monthly management accounts
• Year-end accounting and submissions

Required skills and qualifications:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualification
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including UK GAAP and IFRS
• Strong Excel and ERP systems knowledge, ideally Sage50 experience
• Experience of budgeting & forecasting processes
• Experience of derivative and fair value reporting
• Energy or utilities experience is preferred
