Role & responsibilities
As Financial Controller, you will have a crucial role in managing the integrity and efficiency of financial operations. This role will ensure compliance with accounting standards, lead the preparation of monthly and annual reports, and build a high-performance finance function.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing all finance and accounting operations
Coordinating monthly management accounts and annual financial reporting according to IFRS standards
Overseeing financial control activities and quality assurance over financial transactions
Supporting external audits with accurate and timely documentation
Delivering insightful financial information to senior management to support decision-making
Researching and resolving complex technical accounting issues
Driving improvements across systems, controls, and reporting processes
What you need
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller role
ACA or ACCA Qualification (or equivalent)
Experienced in financial statement preparation and accounting compliance
Derivative and fair value reporting
Experience within the energy or utilities sector preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment
