Role & responsibilities

As Financial Controller, you will have a crucial role in managing the integrity and efficiency of financial operations. This role will ensure compliance with accounting standards, lead the preparation of monthly and annual reports, and build a high-performance finance function.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all finance and accounting operations

  • Coordinating monthly management accounts and annual financial reporting according to IFRS standards

  • Overseeing financial control activities and quality assurance over financial transactions

  • Supporting external audits with accurate and timely documentation

  • Delivering insightful financial information to senior management to support decision-making

  • Researching and resolving complex technical accounting issues

  • Driving improvements across systems, controls, and reporting processes

What you need

  • Proven experience in a Financial Controller role
  • ACA or ACCA Qualification (or equivalent)

  • Experienced in financial statement preparation and accounting compliance

  • Derivative and fair value reporting

  • Experience within the energy or utilities sector preferred

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment
