Financial Controller

Investigo are delighted to be supporting one of our key clients with the search for a Financial Controller. My client, a well-known and successful Food Manufacturing business operating internationally, have experienced continued organic growth and growth through acquisitions. This position will work closely with the Group Finance Director in implementing improved financial controls and processes within the department and support the drive for improved communication between finance and the wider business.

As a Financial Controller you will be a key member of the site Senior Management team, providing financial support to assist the site in achieving its key objectives; key elements will include providing financial analysis and insight into the operational activities of the business whilst ensuring a robust control environment and balance sheet integrity.

Financial Controller will deliver the following core tasks:

-Ensure the accurate and timely production of the monthly management accounts
-Regular balance sheet and cashflow reviews, ensuring key reconciliations are undertaken
-Development of improved weekly, monthly and annual reporting processes and systems
-Provision of commercial and operational analysis to the board and senior management team
-Preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
-Ownership of the year end process, including liaison with the external auditors
-Undertake key projects as and when required
-Manage a team of 4 - Qualified and Part-Qualified Accountants

This is a great role that would suit any ambitious and driven qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) Finance Manager or Financial Controller who is looking for the next step in their career. The right candidate must however have Manufacturing or FMCG background. Previous experience in managing a team is also essential.
