Financial Crime Assurance Analyst

A well known bank is now seeking a junior team member for their strong and friendly financial crime team.

In this role you will:

• Performing monthly second line quality assurance to assess strength of first line controls in relation to areas such as financial crime risk assessments, AML transaction monitoring, call conduct, complaints handling and operational process adherence
• Providing feedback on second line monitoring to key stakeholders, with support from Risk and Compliance management
• Coordinating departmental responses to general Risk and Compliance queries, with support from Risk and Compliance management
• Maintaining accuracy and completeness of departmental policies and procedures
• Maintaining records of departmental actions, supporting closure with action owners by providing regular updates on open items and targets dates
• Production of informative and timely risk assurance reports for the business and relevant Committees
• Supporting the management and control of risk across the business through effective review and oversight

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• 1-3 years financial crime experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong IT skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Initiative and professionalism
• Problem solving skills
• An ability to self-tech and conduct research into FCA and PRA regulatory requirements
