Senior Financial Crime Manager - Correspondent Banking & Trade Finance

London, England.

Are you a natural leader that can own the oversight of the Transaction Monitoring System and be the primary point of contact for Correspondent Banking and Trade Finance FCC advice? Working for the London branch of an international organisation, you will be a vital part of the Financial Crime Advisory team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Compliance oversight of the Transaction Monitoring system and process covering alert/rule calibration, escalations, MI, annual review etc.
  • Provide training and guidance to 1LOD staff on Transaction Monitoring system and process
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on correspondent banking and trade finance AML red flags and AML controls
  • Assist with the ongoing development and enhancement of the Bank's financial crime prevention framework
  • Handle escalations to the Financial Crime Advisory inbox, including acting as a subject matter expert on Transaction Monitoring, Correspondent Banking and trade Finance questions from the business areas
  • Handle internal and external SARs
  • Assist in the review and update of the Bank's financial crime policies and procedures
  • Assist in the provision of financial crime prevention awareness and training to all staff
  • Provide input on financial crime risk into the design and structuring of new products, services and systems
  • Assist in the collation and interpretation of Financial Crime management information ("MI")
  • Carry out ad hoc Financial Crime tasks as required by the DMLRO or the MLRO

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in anti-money laundering transaction monitoring, either in 1LOD or
  • 2 LOD; experience of transaction monitoring systems is a pre-requisite
  • Track record of performing in a wholesale banking environment with exposure to correspondent banking and trade finance
  • Detailed knowledge of the relevant FCA financial crime rules and guidance and UK Money Laundering Regulations
  • Working knowledge of UK JMLSG Guidance Notes
  • Highly effective advisory and communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Bachelor's Degree pre-requisite; recognised industry qualification highly desirable
