About the Role
This newly created Financial Reporting Manager position has arisen due to business expansion and represents an ideal stepping stone for an ambitious ACA. Our client is specifically seeking someone from a top 10 practice who is ready to transition into industry. You will report directly to the Group Finance Director and gain exposure to complex international operations, strategic finance projects, and high-level commercial decision-making that would typically take years to access in practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly management accounting processes across multiple international subsidiaries
- Prepare consolidated management accounts for board presentation and strategic decision-making
- Support statutory reporting requirements including complex consolidations and international compliance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and reporting systems
- Partner with operational teams to provide commercial insights and financial analysis
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across the group
- Support M&A activities, treasury operations, and other strategic finance projects
- Mentor and develop junior team members while building leadership skills
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage relationships with external auditors and advisors
Experience Required:
- Recently qualified ACA from a top 10 practice or 1-2 years post-qualification experience
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and UK GAAP/IFRS
- Experience in audit or practice environment with exposure to manufacturing or commercial clients preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail * Strong communication skills with ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems
- Ambitious and eager to develop commercial finance skills beyond traditional practice work
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in international business and complex operational environments
