Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • In the Acquire to Retire process for company subsidiaries
  • The data sitting in these manual registers need line by line cleansing activity to pull through missing data
  • Ensure asset registers accurately reflect the value of assets in use across the subsidiaries via verification to source systems and physical reconciliation of assets
  • Support on Hire Stock and Right-of-use asset notes for the Group
  • Delivery of fixed asset month end processes in line with Group timetable including monthly accounting close - suspense account clearance, depreciation, FAR close
  • Ensuring completeness of entity balance sheets with full reconciliations of designated balance sheet accounts
  • Some support in other Asset solutions i.e. Asset 4000 and Open Accounts Fixed Asset systems
  • Communicate continuous improvement and process standardisation across the process
  • Support audit requirements for Subsidiary Hire Stock
  • Other data cleansing activities around PPE and Intangibles
  • Assist in Standard Operating Procedures write-up and maintenance across Finance



Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required

Essential

  • Qualified/Part-Qualified Accountant
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Previous experience of balance sheet reconciliation
  • Experience of working in a similar sized (or larger) organisation
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage work in a fast paced environment
  • A resilient individual, who can demonstrate flexibility in approach, fast thinker and an attitude to get the job done
  • Attention to detail and accuracy even under pressure
  • Deadline driven
  • Systems: Strong Excel skills



Desirable

  • Good understanding of Key Financial Controls and experience of operating in an organisation with an excellent control environment
  • Experience in a Fixed Assets Environment, especially in a multi-site or asset intensive business
  • Systems: Essbase, Open Accounts
