FP&A Analyst

Investigo is currently working in partnership with an established investment management firm in London on their search for a talented and commercially astute Analyst to join their business.

This firm are well known for offering a progressive platform for their employees, and as a result of their latest promotion, they're looking to hire into their commercial team.

The FP&A Analyst role will partner exclusively with the operational investment and fund teams, the incumbent will be an integral part of the deliverance of crucial financial data which will aid the business in strategic decision making. Duties will involve:

• Prioritise activities to ensure business finance deliverables are met to a high standard
• Communicate efficiently and independently with senior management up to board
• Trouble shoot issues and work to resolution

• Regular reporting and analysis:
  • Expense and headcount reporting
  • Transaction analysis, investigation and flagging risks where necessary
  • Project and initiative process and reporting

• Finance support to business led projects and business plans:
  • Business expansion, contraction, or reallocation
  • Buy/build analyses
  • Efficiency optimisation
  • Process re-design

• Budgeting and forecasting:
  • Responsible for end to end budgeting and forecasting process
  • Develop financial plans and forecasts on an annual, quarterly, and ad hoc basis

• Adhoc analysis:
  • As required to support business partners
  • Provide independent advice and support to the business as well as challenging where appropriate
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems that may be complex in nature

Experience required:

• Qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
• Experience within the investment management / asset management or buy side industry - a working knowledge of fund operations and costings will be highly desirable
• Experience working with strategic business units
• Strong excel skills - exposure to excel models a bonus
• Commercial astute with ability and confidence to work with very senior stakeholders across multiple divisions and geographies
