FP&A Analyst - Financial modelling experience essential
up to £65k depending on experience

I have partnered exclusively with a renowned PE backed organisation based in North London, recruiting for an experienced FP&A analyst to join their Commercial Finance Team. This role is key to provide business planning, financial analysis and business insight to better enable short and long-term decision-making by the Executive Leadership team, shareholders and Board.
Responsibilities will include:
Budgeting
- To co-ordinate and produce key aspects of the corporate financial planning process, including the annual budget and five-year plan
- Maintain and develop the long-term business model to the end of the concession life, for use in shareholder valuations
- Support the development of appropriate performance measurement frameworks to monitor progress of plans against budgets during the year
- Provide business partnering support to the wider finance team as required
Regulation
- Responsible for supporting regulatory control period reviews, volume re-openers and other interim review activities
- Ad hoc tasks as directed and analysis required to support the company's regulatory obligations
Modelling
- Assist in the preparation of analytical models for credit rating agencies
- Modelling for shareholders of valuation scenarios and appropriate cash extraction options
- Project and investment appraisals, including NPV, IRR and ROI analysis
Liaise with Head of FP&A, Finance Director, and CFO to discuss results, trends, opportunities, and issues
Candidate Specification:
Essential
- Experience of building and managing complex financial models
- Educated to degree standard (2:1 or better)
- Strong influencer and stakeholder manager, with a proactive, confident approach with excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Comfortable challenging and being challenged, with a proven ability to manage relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrate a strong track record of delivery in a business or financial analyst role
- Experience in driving process improvements within a changing environment
- The ability to self-manage, with a methodical approach and an eye for detail is essential
- Enthusiastic with a positive attitude and the ability to get the job done whilst working in a small team
- Advanced excel skills with financial modelling experience
Desirable
- Studying towards relevant qualification
- Proven experience of providing analysis for commercial decision making across all business areas
- Comfortable with presenting recommendations to key decisions makers including the provision of logical and well-planned analysis
- Highly financially literate
- Proven track record of outperformance, owning issues to conclusion and delivering high quality output
- Logical decision making and a hands-on approach
- Infrastructure/regulatory experience advantageous
