Job description

Investigo are delighted to have been retained by a growing, highly cash generative Milton Keynes based Private Equity backed organisation who are looking to recruit a Group Finance Director, on a permanent basis.

The Group Finance Director will report into the Group CFO and they will be responsible for leading the Group finance function. They will work closely with and in many cases manage the relationship with Investors, Lenders, Audit Committee, External Auditors and Key Advisors.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of Qualified Accountants, with a focus on mentoring, coaching and developing them.
  • Ownership of all financial reporting matters, including the Annual Report and Accounts of the Group and its subsidiaries, including half yearly reporting requirements.
  • Leading, and being the primary contact, for the annual audit process, ensuring the continuation of an audit process.
  • Treasury oversight and banking relations - forecasting cash on a 3-month rolling basis; optimising cash holdings; management of currency and interest rate exposure (including through financial instruments); covenant compliance reporting, periodic lender presentations
  • Delivery of regular financial planning and forecasting inclusive of monthly 'top level' rolling and quarterly 'bottom' up forecasts; annual budget; six-monthly long-term plan strategy update. Robust income statement and cash flow forecasting planning around the company requirements to deliver strategy, available cash flow, debt facility draw down (where required) and management, all within Group financial covenants.
  • Management of the production of the Monthly Board report, including review of monthly results and balance sheet positions/reconciliations, together with detailed analysis of budget and forecast reporting.
  • Management of risk and internal audit, including management of business wide six-monthly risk register update and internal audit work.
  • Tax planning and compliance.
  • Accounting advisory on new and evolving technical accounting areas working, where required with the Group Auditors and preparing and presenting papers to the Group Audit Committee.
  • Involvement in key business improvement initiatives, working with the broader Finance function to develop cross functional skills.
  • Ad-hoc projects as they arise.

The successful Candidate is likely to be a Top 6 Trained ACA Qualified Accountant with experience of producing high quality consolidated and individual financial statements in a Private Equity backed organisation, where they have had extensive exposure to Group Financial Accounts, Treasury and Lender reporting and compliance.
They will be commercially minded, capable of robust forecasting and budgeting through a clear understanding of key business value drivers supported by strong excel and system skills. Candidates will possess exceptional communication skills, ambition and the ability to lead and develop a high performing finance team, whilst influencing senior level internal and external stakeholders.

This role will be split 60% Controllership/Accounting and 40% FP&A/Projects.

Our Client is offering a remuneration package of £110,000 - £120,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits.
