Job description

Investigo are delighted to be exclusively supporting a market leading multi-site business with their recruitment of a Group Finance Manager, on a permanent basis.

This person will play a key role in the Group Finance team and they will work with closely with the Tax Accountant and head office finance team. They will have contact with the Senior Leadership Team, overseas Group Finance Team, and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the monthly group reporting pack, including IFRS adjustments, for submission to the parent company group finance team;
  • Monthly and YTD variance analysis for balance sheet accounts;
  • Preparation of group financial statements in UK GAAP, including consolidation workings;
  • Preparation of subsidiary financial statements in UK GAAP;
  • Consideration of accounting treatment for new transactions and changes in UK GAAP / IFRS;
  • Co-ordinating the annual external audit process with Deloitte, including interim and year end visits;
  • Maintaining the group accounting policies and procedures manual;
  • Working with the FP&A team to maintain key reports, structures and hierarchies within the SUN financial ledger

Person Attributes:

  • Hold a professional accounting qualification and would ideally be educated to degree level
  • Accounting practice, or relevant experience
  • Be strong technically with an up to date working knowledge of developments in accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP) and corporate governance / reporting
  • Have strong organisational and project management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines on multiple projects
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to establish personal credibility at senior levels
  • Be highly IT literate (in particular Excel)
  • Have the ability to grasp the commercial issues and financially relevant aspects of the business
  • Be comfortable and confident with a 'hands on' approach to problem solving
  • Have good analytical skills
  • Positive outlook with a "can do" attitude
  • Operates with integrity, builds trust and wins confidence
  • Effective communication and people skills
