Job description

This FTSE 15 FMCG Giant is seeking an interim for a period of 3 - 6 Months as an Insurance Analyst. Joining at the busiest time during the renewal process you will be expected to carry out the below.


Primary Focus:

Co-ordinate, collate analyse and review risk assessment information from the individual business units
Maintain and develop risk information databases using the Risk Management Information System (RMIS)
Compile and prepare insurance market submissions
Work with and support the Group Insurance Manager with the arranging of cover and the administration of the insurance programmes
Responding to queries from the business and providing advice
Compile premium allocations and deal with internal premium allocation and accounting queries
Handle liability claims particularly Motor and Employers Liability disease claims
Review clinical trial protocols and arrange cover

Secondary Focus:

Dealing with cover requests for business trips / conferences and managing risk exposure / accumulations
Organising certificates as required
Deal with internal and external premium, payment and accounting queries
Ensure invoices from vendors are issued in a timely manner and in accordance with requirements
Liaise with insurance brokers to ensure all policy documentation received in a timely manner and checked for accuracy

Key Challenges:


Liaising with finance teams globally to receive accurate and viable risk assessment information.
Dealing with strict deadlines for reporting.
Ensuring information received is both appropriate and timely, challenging the business unit where issues require further investigation.
Providing technical advice on questions of insurance coverage.
Managing multiple databases and ensuring information is always 100% accurate.

Professional Qualification:

Educated to degree standard, preferably in a relevant area of study
Professional Qualification - ACII or DipCII or making progress towards
Experience required in corporate insurance/risk management within a large commercial organisation or international insurance broker or insurer - minimum 5 years
Ideally should have experience of working on global insurance programmes
Experience of placing insurance and full end-to-end renewal processes
Experience of best practice global insurance, loss prevention, risk engineering and claims handling practices
Broad technical insurance policy knowledge to include property damage/ business interruption, public and products liability, marine cargo, UK Employers' Liability and Motor
