Head of DevOps- eCommerce- London

I am currently looking for a Head of DevOps to work for a top ecommerce organisation based in London (remote working is possible). This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a new strategic global technology platform. You will be working in a fast-paced environment that's open, collaborative and agile.

Responsibilities will include:

Building, developing, leading and motivating a DevOps engineering team.
Developing and promoting standards ensuring that the team are working in line with industry best practices.
Driving a DevOps culture and practices throughout the entire software development life cycle and ensuring that the operational needs of the business are met.
Driving efficiency through the identification and automation of manual processes within the delivery lifecycle.
Being heavily involved with the selection, provision and management of the central services and tools.
Working with stakeholders throughout the technology function to ensure the best possible outcome for the business.
Creating and owning technical road-maps

Experience required:

Extensive and proven experience of leading a DevOps team.
Substantial DevOps and Agile practices experience
Strong knowledge of the AWS toolset including native tooling like Code Commit, Code Pipeline, Cloud Formation, Lambda
Coding languages such as Python, Bash, Ruby
Advanced knowledge of logging and monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, PagerDuty, etc.)
Considerable experience in Automatic Horizontal Scaling
Knowledge of search platforms (elastic/solr)
Strong stakeholder management skills
