Investigo are delighted to be partnering with a 60 million t/o International subsidiary of a market leading manufacturing group based in North London. The company have an outstanding reputation and consistent delivery which has led to them taking huge strides in the last couple of years with increases in profit and expansion of their manufacturing platform across the Americas. They are now well positioned to begin their next phase of growth in 2024 and beyond with the recruitment of a new Head of Finance.

This is a perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic and well-rounded Finance Leader to take the reins of a small but well-established finance team in their North London/ Hertfordshire HQ. Taking full responsibility for both core finance (Controls, Reporting, Management Accounts) and heavily supporting operations across key markets in the UK, Europe, Asia and the Americas, this is a wonderfully diverse role and a real chance to challenge the status quo and drive the business forward. You will be a posit qualified manager with at least 5 years post qualified experience, ready to take the next step in your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as key member of the leadership team. Define and implement the strategic direction of the business and track its actual and forecasted impact on financials.
  • Work with thew board to coordinate key initiatives and ensure targets are reached through data and fact-based analysis.
  • Lead and support the new ERP roll out for the UK.
  • Ensure the reliability of the company's accounts at local (statutory) and management reporting purposes. Ensuring that monthly, half-yearly and annual closings comply with Group requirements in terms of standards (IFRS), format and deadlines.
  • Manage, build, maintain and improve strong relationships with a small finance team of 5.
  • Develop the budget and business plan in line with strategic choices as well as the monthly forecast.
  • Working closely with commercial management, identifying challenges and opportunities with operational stakeholders, providing actionable information to support improved financial performance.
  • Manage the relationship with Auditors.
  • Support operational relationships and business partner key leaders in the manufacturing network - Stock valuations, Gross margin understanding & Bills of Materials

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

  • Five plus years of experience as a finance professional, including some post qualified experience working in the manufacturing sector.
  • Knowledge and experience to financially control a small finance team In North London and business partner stakeholders in Europe, Asia and the Americas, helping to ensure sound and consistent financial practices, operational management, and compliance across the group.
  • A hands-on approach to financial management and driving operations, ready to take on both day-to-day financial tasks and high-level business partnering, particularly in direct support of the GMs in key markets across the UK & International.
  • Strong leadership and collaborations skills, including the ability to work as part of geographically distributed leadership team, the ability to effectively manage and support International Finance members and the ability to manage external accounting.
  • Advanced skills in financial modelling and business planning.
  • Demonstrated success in high-growth and rapidly changing environments, and you have adaptability and resilience in the face of change and uncertainty.
