  • Are you passionate about the impact data and technology can have within HR?

  • Do you want to continue your leadership journey, building a new team and developing a HRIS to enhance internal capability?

If so this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

Investigo are proud to be partnering with the University of Bedfordshire on the recruitment of six new opportunities within their redesigned People and Culture function.

Through this strategic investment in its future, the People and Culture team will be well-placed to meet evolving organisational needs and proactively meet the challenges of the future. This presents a unique opportunity for HR professionals to use their expertise and skills to drive this evolution and be a part of something genuinely transformative.

Context

As Head of HR Business Systemsyou will be responsible for leading the management, maintenance and effective utilisation of the University's various HR Information and Reporting Systems.

This is a brand new function within the People and Culture Team and an exciting opportunity to drive long-term change, enhancing their people offering through the embedded use of data and analytics. Responsible for two direct reports, you will provide leadership on the maintenance and development of the iTrent system (alongside various other data reporting systems), ensuring the effective provision of data, advice and analysis is available.

In order to enhance the wider team's understanding and utilisation of these systems and data, you will manage relationships to ensure the documentation of process, as well as proactively facilitating training to embed the MI system in our best practice.

As the Head of HR Business Systems, you will be the trusted adviser for IT support within the People and Culture team, working closely with - and at times deputising for - the Assistant Director of HR Operations. This will include wider collaboration with senior colleagues and stakeholders across the University to ensure the highest quality of service delivery within the People and Culture team.

To succeed in this role you will have experience of leadership, both as the highest point of escalation for HRIS queries and as the lead on procurement, implementation and continuous improvement of a HRIS. As well as high-level project management experience, we are looking for a leader that can develop both their direct reports and the wider People and Culture team, providing day-to-day guidance and support on the use of the HRIS. In doing so, you'll future proof the long term People Strategy, ensuring change and decision-making is driven by people insights and data.

Prior experience working with iTrent and HR reporting systems such as SAP/Oracle is desirable, as well as experience of operating within large, complex environments.

What's In It For You?

As well as the opportunity to contribute to an exciting transformation of both the People and Culture Team and the wider organisation, you will have access to a host of staff benefits too:

  • 17.8% contributory pension
  • 5 additional concessionary days of leave each year
  • Excellent in-house training and development
  • Access to engaging events and speakers
  • Discounts across a range of products and services
  • Access to EAP and Mental Health First Aiders
  • Free Sports Therapy from students
