Job description

Investigo are partnering with a market leading FMCG business in St Albans to hire a Head of HR Shared Services on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity and newly created to come in and make a big impact on the HR Shared Services team managing 4 direct reports and 10 indirect reports. The role will report in to the Chief People Officer and play an integral role to the continued service excellence of HR Shared Services. Acting as the interface between HR Data and the rest of the business. We are looking for a story teller, and influencer and an engaging HR Leader.

This is a Hybrid opportunity based onsite 2 days per week

St Albans City based.

Key Accountabilities:

Employee and labour relations

  • Focuses on leading and promoting people practices which create positive working relationships between an organisation and its people.
  • Directs and steers the development and implementation of employee labour relations strategy, with the goal of creating a high performing, engaged, and collaborative workforce.
  • Manages the ER team and monitors their performance.
  • Partners with leaders at all levels to facilitate development and implementation of performance counselling initiatives focused on performance improvement.
  • Partners with in-house general counsel on the most sensitive employee issues.

HRIS reporting

  • Is the point of reference for HRIS team in its activity of training in systems and tools
  • Supports HRIS team in implementing and managing process of data improvement
  • Contributes in information and data gathering for developing reporting tool for all HRIS field of action

Team management

  • Is accountable for managing people assigned (People Partners, Employee Relations Specialists, Office Manager and HR Data Analyst)
  • Promotes the effective communication and cascading through the line managers to the teams

Organisation management

  • Manages Core OM (Organization Management) processes, in coordination withHRIS team:
    • Organizational charts
    • Organizational database (job families, jobs, competencies for grading and talent programs)

Payroll and administration

  • Cooperates with Finance Department to ensure proper accounting of payroll costs and appropriate fulfilment of tax and social security obligations
  • Liaises with HRBP to ensure that the T&A system is updated in line with Union Negotiations
  • Manages the contacts with the local authorities, additional pension plan and Health Care insurance
  • Contributes to internal and external audits
  • Ensures proper payroll management and timely HR Administration in compliance with local labour law, regulations and individual labour agreement
  • Ensures payment of salaries, social contributions, pension plan, health care insurance, taxes, etc.
  • Determine the budget range necessary for uni later/consensual terminations, lead the meeting with the resource and coordinate the exit procedures.
  • Is responsible for policy update on travel expenses and company credit card

Personnel administration

  • Supports the integration at local level with Finance function regarding analysis, cost centers, payroll data
  • Manages the coordination with the HRIS team for local payroll
  • Manages data entry about payroll return

Legal support and policies:

  • Contributes to definition of policies, remunerative plans, benefit approach, and standard contract terms
  • Oversees the analyses of new contract in compliance with local policies and legal constraints
  • Manages employment legal and fiscal issues and manages the fiscal assistance provided to the employees by the tax external advisors providing updates to HRBP

  • Experienced in a unionised or large complex organization, FMCG experience would be advantageous but is not essential
