Head of Technical Architecture

InX are working on Search basis with a multi-national Manufacturer / Retail organisation who are seeking a Head of Technical Architecture required to join the SMT of the IT Director in North Yorkshire.

The role will lead Architectural strategy and delivery for the business and will shape and oversee the delivery of an ambitious Architecture roadmap. The roadmap is somewhat formed, but this person will bring their knowledge, experience and views to ensure successful delivery that will support the ongoing success and growth of the business into the future.

We are seeking an individual who has significant experience in leading and developing an Architecture team and build a function that is technically able and high quality. This role supports the business strategy with enterprise architectural roadmaps for technology and solutions architecture for individual technology/business solutions, and is charged with developing a data strategy with business stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be well versed in the following:

1. Technology ability especially in Technical architecture and technologies

2. Breadth of experience in the Architecture space

3. Strong interpersonal skills to work with others on the SMT and executive leaders

4. Business focused down to earth and interested in the business outcomes, not just technology

We are seeking an individual who has breadth in terms of being able to create the big technical picture, can bring the business on the journey, and then lead the delivery of the strategy. Candidates can come from all backgrounds and industries, the main focus will be technical skills along with cultural fit.
